A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER
In Jeff's Words
I've always had a deep appreciation for expert craftsmanship and the skilled artisans behind it. Yet the demand for cheaper and faster has grown stronger than ever, with events like Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Prime Day dominating the shopping landscape. I've never understood this desire. It promotes a disconnected, disinterested, and unsustainable way of consuming — one that ignores the artisan behind the art and prioritizes convenience over intention.
In early 2023, I founded Gladfellow to create a deeper connection to the goods we buy, the people who make them, and the like-minded individuals who value quality and care.
Over time, as the store evolved, I realized the name Gladfellow no longer fully encompassed the spirit of the brand. A community had formed — people who believed in the old way of doing things: carefully, intentionally, with expertise and soul. And so, in February 2026, Gladfellow became Last Manner.
The future is analog. The future is human. And together - along with our craftspeople and our customers - I look forward to carrying the torch of the Last Manner.
