The pen uses a click mechanism that advances and retracts the refill with a clean, satisfying motion. Precision-machined internal components give the action its confident, consistent feel.

Precision-milled with a knurled grip from barrel to tip, the body offers sure purchase in hand and a no-nonsense design that lets the material do the talking.

Offered in three materials. The solid brass with a blackened finish has a dark, substantial presence and will develop character with use as the finish wears naturally at the high points.

The brass version is left bare to patina freely, deepening from bright gold toward a warmer, lived-in tone over time.

The stonewashed titanium version has a muted, matte-grey surface and the light, durable feel titanium is known for, its stonewashed texture giving the metal a softened, worked-in look.

Whichever you choose, it is a writing instrument made to become more personal the longer you carry it.

  • Super slim diameter.
  • Blackened brass, Brass, and Titanium options.
  • Milled titanium clip with Ansø icon.

  • Precision machined in the USA by Tactile Turn.

Tactile Turn & Ansø

Founded in Dallas in 2012 by Will Hodges, Tactile Turn began with a WWII-era lathe in a rented corner of a friend's workshop. Today the company operates out of a 9,000-square-foot facility where every pen is still hand-machined by a dedicated team of machinists — precision writing instruments built to last a lifetime and backed by a warranty to match.

The Ansø Pen is a collaboration with Denmark-based industrial designer and knife maker Jens Ansø, whose work has earned international recognition since 2001. Drawing from modern architecture and vintage Danish furniture, Ansø proposed an exceptionally slim hexagonal body paired with Tactile Turn's side-click mechanism — a design that pushed both makers technically, requiring a specialized polygonal turning process and a purpose-built mechanism developed exclusively for this pen.
