FUTAGAMI Bottle Opener Eclipse - Brass
A sculptural brass bottle opener from FUTAGAMI, designed by Oji Masanori and cast in Takaoka, Japan, to age beautifully with use.
Complimentary U.S. Shipping $100+ | International $350+
With its understated luxury, the FUTAGAMI Eclipse bottle opener is modern, thoughtful, and quietly unexpected.
Designed by Oji Masanori and crafted by FUTAGAMI, a brass foundry founded in Takaoka, Japan, in 1897, the Eclipse does not immediately reveal itself as a bottle opener. Its clever circular form makes it surprisingly easy to use while adding a touch of whimsy and elegance to a refined bar setup.
The Eclipse features FUTAGAMI’s IHADA finish, a sand-cast texture with minimal refinement. Over time, the brass naturally oxidizes, developing a deeper patina that enhances its raw, organic beauty.

The IHADA finishing process is a traditional Japanese casting technique where the metal is left in its raw, sand-cast state with minimal post-processing. This results in a textured surface that naturally oxidizes over time, enhancing its organic beauty. Unlike polished finishes, IHADA preserves the material’s authenticity, showcasing subtle variations and imperfections that make each piece unique.
