Spring bar tools are almost universally an afterthought — flimsy, unbalanced, easy to slip. Tom Bushey of Hassler Instruments built this one as if it were the tool itself that deserved the same care as the watch on your wrist.

The bolt-action mechanism at the mid-body retracts the Bergeon 6767-AF fine fork tip when not in use, protecting it between strap changes.

A second Bergeon 6767-BF fine pin tip is stored under the screw cap for bracelet clasp resizing or drilled-lug work. The solid brass construction gives it a weight and stability that makes precision feel possible.

This edition is small batch, individually numbered, and made to order in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Last Manner Works

Last Manner Works is our in-house label for products designed and developed by Last Manner — whether built in partnership with trusted makers or produced entirely under our direction. Every Last Manner Works piece bears our mark because we had a direct hand in its creation: the brief, the materials, the details. These aren't off-the-shelf products with a logo added. They're built from the ground up to reflect what Last Manner stands for.

Hassler Instruments

Founded by Tom Bushey in St. Paul, Minnesota, Hassler Instruments is named after Ferdinand Hassler — the Swiss-American mathematician and surveyor appointed as the first Superintendent of the U.S. Coast Survey in 1816, renowned for designing the precision instruments he used in the field. That same spirit of purposeful, hands-on instrument making lives in every Hassler tool today. Each piece is made to order on manually operated machine tools and finished by hand in the St. Paul workshop.
