Hibi emerged from a collaboration between two traditional Japanese industries in 2011, the Kobe Match Corporation, established in Himeji in 1929, and the Daihatsu Corporation, a manufacturer of incense founded in Sakai in 1936. Kobe Match Corporation, which once held a 75% share of Japan's total match production, sought to preserve the tradition of match production, while the Daihatsu Corporation, after relocating to Awaji Island, became a significant player in the incense industry. The collaborative efforts of these companies led to a unique product that combined the functionality of a match with the aromatic qualities of incense. The company name "hibi," meaning "day to day" in Japanese, reflects their aspiration for customers to incorporate the enjoyment of their fragrances into their everyday lives.

We ship using USPS and UPS, depending on the destination and the products ordered. All shipments include tracking and insurance.
Complimentary Shipping Thresholds:
- USPS Ground Advantage (U.S.): Complimentary on orders over $100.00.
Shipping Times:
- Items ship within one business day (Monday to Friday, excluding holidays).
- Orders placed by 1 PM Pacific Time ship the same day. Later orders ship the next business day.
Additional Notes:
- Fine art pieces valued over $500 ship separately via complimentary UPS Expedited insured service with adult signature required. Split shipments will be dispatched simultaneously.
- Shipments are insured while in transit. Once a package is marked "delivered," Last Manner is not responsible for theft or loss. Please ship to a secure location or make sure someone is available to receive your package.
- Missing, damaged, or incorrect items must be reported within 72 hours of delivery. Claims must be reported directly by the purchaser or the person to whom the order was shipped.
- Shipping costs are non-refundable.
International Orders:
- For international orders, customs duties and import taxes are not included at checkout and are determined by your destination country and collected by the carrier upon delivery — they are the responsibility of the recipient.
- Customers remain responsible for ensuring the items ordered are legal to import and possess in their country. Items rejected or seized by customs due to import restrictions are not the responsibility of Last Manner.
- We do not ship knives internationally.
- We ship UPS only.
