The First Collection is a refined incense series designed by Chikako for TOKYO KODO, created to explore the meeting point between Western fragrance and Japan’s traditional aromatic craft.
As TOKYO KODO’s flagship incense collection, it brings together two distinct scent traditions: the layered expressiveness of fine fragrance and the atmospheric ritual of Japanese incense.
The result is incense that feels modern, contemplative, and deeply composed — a small daily ritual shaped with the care of an art form.

Designed with materials sourced from Grasse in the south of France (considered to be the world’s perfume capital), the collection is then made in Japan and transformed into sophisticated scents.
"Mimosa" is created with a very high-quality mimosa absolute from the South of France. The scent conjures images and feelings of spring sunshine in the Côte d'Azur, leaving you warm and relaxed.
Wisteria flowers are common in both in Japan and France. Not only is the silhouette of the flowers blooming beautiful, but the fragrance is quite magnificent, as well. "Wisteria Du Japan" is fresh floral, green with a refreshing note. Designer Chikako feels very warm and happy surrounded in this scent.
After graduating from Tama Art University Graduate School of Textile Design, Perez Chikako worked at the Textile Design Office. She traveled to France in 2012 and graduated from the Grasse Institute of Perfumery in Grasse, South France, which is said to be the capital of perfume.

We ship using USPS and UPS, depending on the destination and the products ordered. All shipments include tracking and insurance.
Complimentary Shipping Thresholds:
- USPS Ground Advantage (U.S.): Complimentary on orders over $100.00.
Shipping Times:
- Items ship within one business day (Monday to Friday, excluding holidays).
- Orders placed by 1 PM Pacific Time ship the same day. Later orders ship the next business day.
Additional Notes:
- Fine art pieces valued over $500 ship separately via complimentary UPS Expedited insured service with adult signature required. Split shipments will be dispatched simultaneously.
- Shipments are insured while in transit. Once a package is marked "delivered," Last Manner is not responsible for theft or loss. Please ship to a secure location or make sure someone is available to receive your package.
- Missing, damaged, or incorrect items must be reported within 72 hours of delivery. Claims must be reported directly by the purchaser or the person to whom the order was shipped.
- Shipping costs are non-refundable.
International Orders:
- For international orders, customs duties and import taxes are not included at checkout and are determined by your destination country and collected by the carrier upon delivery — they are the responsibility of the recipient.
- Customers remain responsible for ensuring the items ordered are legal to import and possess in their country. Items rejected or seized by customs due to import restrictions are not the responsibility of Last Manner.
- We do not ship knives internationally.
- We ship UPS only.

Returns are accepted within 30 days of receipt of your order, provided the merchandise is in its new, unused condition and includes the original packaging. Items that show signs of use, arrive without the original packaging, or received after the 30-day period will not be accepted.
Exceptions:

Lighters: We cannot accept returns for lighters that have been filled with fluid.

Brass/Copper/Bronze Products: Items that have had their vacuum seal opened or have been handled and exposed to oxidation are considered used and are not eligible for return.
- Art, Vintage, Sample Sale & Gift Cards: Samples, photographs, posters, gift cards, vintage artwork, vintage items, "Bygone Goods," and "Final Availability" products are final sale.
Refunds to the original payment method will incur a flat $5 restocking fee, which will be deducted from your refund. Returns for store credit or exchanges are not subject to this fee.
