French opera glasses from around the turn of the twentieth century, clad in mother-of-pearl over a gilt brass frame. The shell panels taper down each barrel and shift through soft pinks, golds, and greens with the light, so no two faces read alike.

The eyecup rings and trim are gilt brass gone to a mellow honey tone. The eyecups carry "DIAMANTA" circling each lens, flanked by small decorative flourishes, a trade name seen on better French glasses of the period. A central knurled wheel sets focus and turns smoothly.

Magnification is modest, meant for a seated view across a hall rather than the field. As a vintage piece, expect minor wear consistent with age and handling.

Bygone Goods

Bygone Goods is our designation for vintage objects — found pieces with history, character, and soul. Every piece is carefully curated; if it doesn't meet our standards for quality and uniqueness, it doesn't make the cut. These aren't relics. They're survivors, chosen for people who appreciate true craftsmanship and lasting quality. When they're gone, they're gone.
