A genuine mid-century Forstner mesh bracelet stamped “Forstner – Komfit Pat. USA,” reflecting the company’s patented mesh-bracelet construction used across their 1940s–1960s lineup.
This New Old Stock example pairs a fine stainless-steel mesh body with 1/20 12K gold-filled end pieces and clasp hardware, preserving the warm two-tone aesthetic typical of Forstner’s civilian-market designs.
The bracelet uses Forstner’s patented Komfit tension-fit clasp system, securing through pressure rather than a modern locking mechanism — a period-correct feature of these early mesh bracelets.
The two-piece layout, curved 19 mm end links, and narrow mesh profile place it firmly within Forstner’s dress and sport watch offerings rather than the single-piece NASA-spec model later used by astronauts.
