These are stunning and original post office postage doors with key locks.

Circa 1960/1961.

Material is most likely brass with some iron, perhaps. They have gorgeously patina'd.

Each box comes with its own set of original keys. Keys are labeled Salsbury and were manufactured in Los Angeles.

We were told these came from the Walnut Post Office in Walnut, Iowa (the epicenter, btw, of gorgeous antiques).

Would make a great decoration or even could even be hinged to some sort of storage compartment.

Dimensions: ~ 5" x 3.5" x 1"

Bygone Goods

Bygone Goods is our designation for vintage objects — found pieces with history, character, and soul. Every piece is carefully curated; if it doesn't meet our standards for quality and uniqueness, it doesn't make the cut. These aren't relics. They're survivors, chosen for people who appreciate true craftsmanship and lasting quality. When they're gone, they're gone.
