Fuel Refill:

• Located the cap on the bottom of the lighter and unscrew it.

(Type II & Type III)

(Type IV)

• Slowly drip lighter fluid directly onto the exposed cotton until saturated (do not over soak the cotton).
  
• Reinstall the cap.
  
• Allow the lighter to rest upright for about one minute before lighting.
• If the lighter sparks but doesn't light, repeat the process by adding more fuel to the cotton and try again. 

Lighter Fluid:

For lighter fluid, we personally use Ronsonol.

Flint Replacement (Type II & III):

• Locate and unscrew the smaller, spring-loaded side screw. 

• Pull the spring-loaded rod out of the lighter.

• Remove any leftover expired flint.
• Insert a new  im corona flints or Kiribi flint into the opening.
• Reinsert the spring loaded rod and press firmly you are able to screw the rod back into the lighter

Flint Replacement (Type IV):

• Locate and unscrew the bottom cap of the lighter.

'

• Locate the small, flat-head screw inside the cotton chamber.

• Use a flat-head screw driver to unscrew the spring-loaded flint rod.

• Pull the spring-loaded rod out of the lighter.

• Remove any leftover expired flint.
• Insert a new  im corona flints or Kiribi flint into the opening.
  
• Reinsert the spring-loaded rod and press firmly while using a flat-head screwdriver to tighter the rod into place. 

Trimming the Wick:

Trimming the wick is easy and can generally be done with a pair of flat tweezers and a toenail clipper.

Pinch the end of the wick with the tweezers, pull up, and cleanly trim the wick with your toenail clipper flush to the top of opening of the lighter.

If you are out of wick, you'll need to purchase a new wick kit and insert the new wick.

With some of our lighters, the wick is held in place by a small, metal prongs. The prongs can be bent away from the wick to allow you to pull the wick up through them. You can then secure the wick by bending the prongs back against the wick.

Replacing the Wick:

Unscrew the bottom cap and carefully remove the cotton from inside the lighter.

Insert the replacement wick from the maintenance kit into the top of the lighter, guiding it down through the body until it reaches the bottom. Leave approximately ¼ inch of wick exposed at the top.

Once positioned, gently repack the cotton around the wick to secure it in place. Avoid packing too tightly, as this can restrict fuel flow.

Finish by screwing the bottom cap back on.

Pro Tip:

If the wheel spins without sparks or the flame weakens, it’s typically time for fresh flint, fuel, or a wick trimming.

Like many of the heirloom products we sell, your lighter will need occasional maintenance. In many ways, maintaining our lighters is as fulfilling as owning them. That being said, your lighter will require some basic knowledge of what and how things can go wrong and what to do about each issue if and when they occur.

If your lighter is having any sort of issues lighting, the culprit is generally one of the following issues.

Issue #1: Your lighter is not sparking.

Solution #1: Replace the flint. The process for doing so on these lighters is different from lighter to lighter, but usually there is an area you can unscrew that allows you to add flint to the lighter. Please ask if you need help finding it.

Issue #2: The lighter is sparking and producing a flame, but the flame instantly disappears or the flame is very small regardless of how much you turn up the gas.

Solution #2: More than likely, your lighter does not have enough fluid/gas. Add more. With petrol lighters, the cotton should be saturated, but not sopping wet. Over filling the cotton will result in leakage from the top of the lighter. Over time, you'll learn exactly how much is needed based on how the flame is producing and functioning.

Issue #3: The flame is extremely low or has a hard time lighting even though you have plenty of fuel in the lighter and enough flint to spark a flame.

Solution #3: More than likely, your wick needs to be trimmed. It will appear overly charred, too frayed, or a bit short. Trimming the wick is easy and can generally be done with a pair of tweezers and a toenail clipper. Pinch the end of the wick with the tweezers, pull up, and cleanly trim the wick with your toenail clipper flush to the top of opening of the lighter. If you are out of wick, you'll need to purchase a new wick kit and insert the new wick. With some of our lighters, the wick is held in place by a small, metal prongs. The prongs can be bent away from the wick to allow you to pull the wick up through them. You can then secure the wick by bending the prongs back against the wick.

Issue #4: The lighter appears wet, potentially too drenched in oil to light.

Solution #4: You have most likely overfilled the lighter and drenched the wick. You can either let the wick dry out (recommended) or light the wick with another lighter and burn off the excess gas. Be very careful doing this as sometimes the gas has also drenched the outside of the lighter and the flame can spread down from the wick, lighting the outside of the lighter and potentially burning your hand and/or causing a fire.

• Most items ship within one business day (Monday to Friday, excluding holidays).
• Orders placed by 2 PM Pacific Time often ship the same day.

• Fine art pieces valued over $500 ship separately via complimentary UPS Expedited insured service with adult signature required. Split shipments will be dispatched simultaneously. 
  
• While we offer insurance on your shipments, once a package is marked “delivered,” insurance no longer covers theft or loss. Please deliver to secure locations or ensuring someone is available to receive your package. 
• Shipping costs are non-refundable. 

International Orders:

• For international orders, customs duties and import taxes are prepaid at checkout, so no additional customs charges are collected upon delivery.
• The customer remains responsible for ensuring the items ordered are legal to import and possess in their country. Items rejected or seized by customs due to import restrictions are not the responsibility of Last Manner.
• We do not ship knives internationally.
• We ship UPS only.

Returns are accepted within 30 days of receipt of your order, provided the merchandise is in its new, unused condition and includes the original packaging. Items that show signs of use, arrive without the original packaging, or received after the 30-day period will not be accepted.

Exceptions:

• Lighters: We cannot accept returns for lighters that have been filled with fluid.
  
• Brass/Copper/Bronze Products: Items that have had their vacuum seal opened or have been handled and exposed to oxidation are considered used and are not eligible for return.
  
• Art, Vintage & Gift Cards: Photographs, posters, gift cards, vintage artwork, vintage items, and "Bygone Goods" products are final sale. 

Refunds to the original payment method will incur a flat $5 restocking fee, which will be deducted from your refund. Returns for store credit or exchanges are not subject to this fee.
